1. the coffee

it all starts with amazing coffee beans. morsels gets its coffee from Intelligentsia, an award-winning coffee company that practices direct trade ™, a process developed by Intelligentsia.
Intelligentsia's criteria for direct trade are:
- the quality must be exceptional
- the price to the grower must be at least 25% above fair trade prices.
- the grower must be committed to healthy environmental practices.
- an Intelligentsia representative must visit the farm in person, at least once per harvest season.
- all the trade participants must be open to transparent disclosure of financial deliveries back to the individual farmers.

2. the equipment

the equipment we use at morsels is top-notch and we take great care of it. our espresso machine is a la marzocco gb5 semi-automatic. our trained baristas taste our espresso often, making sure the flavor is right on. we also clean the machine regularly throughout the day, ensuring your espresso is delicious.

3. our baristas

our baristas are trained by Intelligentsia baristas - and that's saying something! their baristas have won several United States barista championships, so we're learning from the best!

4. the science and art

we understand the science and art of making a great cup of coffee. we'll steam the milk just right so that it's sweet and creamy, not styro-foamy and scalded, and we'll even swirl a little latte art on top to show you that we care about every cup!
